Trusting Him

Who knows why things happen the way they do? I don't think I'll ever be able to explain that myself. I don't know why certain things happen, but what I believe is that God has a plan.

It can be difficult to trust God sometimes. You might feel confused, angry, and have resentment towards Him. You may question why things are happening the way they are. I think a lot of people have been there.

Why do good things happen to bad people? Why is there so much evil in the world? Why do people we love have to die? Why are breakups a thing? Why do we struggle? Why, why, why?

I have absolutely no idea. I'm not sure if anyone will ever know why. Despite struggles and questions, I choose to believe in God and His timing. It's the only thing that will offer me comfort.

I refuse to think that my pain has no purpose. There has to be a reason and only the Lord knows. From my experiences, God has used my challenges as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger. He is teaching me to trust in His plan. Yes, it can be very hard, but I know the Creator of the universe loves me more than I could ever imagine.

I choose to have faith in Jesus because He has provided me comfort, peace of mind, and resilience. He has given me unexplainable joy even in my saddest times. He saved me from my own demise. He showed me the light in the darkness. Jesus is the light and always will be.

God is supernatural, and nobody can explain His ways. Putting your trust in God is a learning lesson that will most likely be a lifelong process. I am trusting in Him that He has a bright, joyful future planned for me. I cannot wait to see it.

With love,
Lauryn Pyatt
