Lauryn's Life Changes

Life is changing, and that's for sure. It's a little scary in all honesty. The unknown can be nerve-wracking, but I know that God is guiding me as I've made these huge decisions. He is moving in so many ways!

Well, I am changing colleges. I'm saying my goodbyes to Webster University. It's very bittersweet. I'm going to miss my job, my friends, and how familiar it is. I did spend 1.5 years there. I'll be transferring at semester.

What next? I'll be continuing my college career at Missouri Baptist University. God laid the university on my heart and mind several times. When I toured the campus, something clicked. The people I interacted with were so kind and welcoming. The campus is only 25 minutes away which is so nice.

So, why MBU? They have the exact major I've been looking for. My major will be communication studies. I love how broad it is. I think that Webster isn't what is best for me anymore. I believe it's important for me to be at a faith-based university. I love Jesus, and I want to be obedient to what He is calling me to do.

God has great things planned for my future, and He is making things happen! I'm living on campus. I auditioned for the jazz band at MBU, and I made all 3 bands there! I'm going to do jazz band and pep band for sure. My love for music is growing, and I'm thrilled to be able to pursue one of my passions at my new school.

I applied for an on-campus job, was interviewed, and I just heard back that they want to hire me! I will be a digital media assistant. I'm super excited.

The amount of hope and happiness that I feel when I think about Missouri Baptist University has to be from God. It's an unexplainable type of excitement. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to further my education while also learning more about the Lord. I'm taking a class about the history of the Old Testament... That is so cool!

I've been praying for this. God is making it happen, and I couldn't be more grateful. He deserves all the praise. This is going to be a huge blessing, and I cannot wait to see how my future unravels. All glory to Him.

With love,
Lauryn Pyatt
